The cover archive on this site holds 525 clips as of September 2026, drawn from what MEMI has posted publicly since 2022. It is the single largest thing here.

Most of it is untagged, in the sense that most clips do not name the band whose song is being played. She names one often enough, though, that the ones she does name add up to something readable.

What the shape says

The press framing on MEMI is nu-metal, and the nu-metal is certainly there. Korn at seven, Deftones at seven, Slipknot, Metallica, Disturbed. Put those together and the heaviest cluster is the largest single thing in the table.

What the framing misses is everything sitting level with it. Radiohead ties Korn exactly. So does willow, who is a contemporary artist rather than an influence inherited from the 1990s. Paramore outranks Metallica. Coldplay is on the same line as Metallica. bts and blackpink are both in there, which for a guitarist whose interviews are all about Korn and the Smashing Pumpkins is worth noticing rather than filing away as an outlier.

The read that fits the numbers is that she is not curating a genre. She is playing what she likes that week, and what she likes that week has an unusually wide spread. A guitarist who covers Deftones and Coldplay in the same month is telling you something about how she hears a song, which is as a set of parts worth learning rather than as a badge to wear.

The recent end

willow at seven and wisp at two are the two entries that could not have come from a teenage listening diary. Both are current, both are guitar music made in the last few years, and both sit at or near the top of the table. The archive shows the same pattern in her live year: a set that opens with a nu-metal track of her own and closes on something poppier.

How these were counted, and what the count misses

The tags are hers. This site does not identify songs by ear and does not guess. A clip counts toward an artist only if she tagged it with that artist's name.

Two things follow from that. The first is that the real totals are higher than the table. Plenty of clips have no artist tag at all, so a Deftones cover posted without the word Deftones in it is invisible to this count. The second is that the ranking is a ranking of what she chose to label, which is not quite the same as a ranking of what she chose to play.

There is one deliberate exclusion worth stating. A post counts as a cover on the strength of her cover hashtags specifically, not on the word "cover" appearing somewhere in the tags. albumcover is a post about artwork and undercovermartyn is a Two Door Cinema Club song title, and reading either as a cover would be wrong. Anything ambiguous is left uncategorised rather than guessed at.
